Setting/Feature
What it does...
Integration Active
Check the box to turn on/off eTrigue CRM Integration.
If the box is not checked, eTrigue CRM Integration functionality is disabled in the application and eTrigue CRM Integration synchronizations do not occur.Sync Campaign
Check the box to allow eTrigue CRM Integration to synchronize campaign members between eTrigue and your CRM.
If enabled, eTrigue CRM Integration will update your CRM Campaigns' members with Lead and Contacts that correspond to eTrigue Prospects that are members of eTrigue Campaigns with the same campaign name provided that the Sync Campaign feature is also enabled within the 'Start' Action of a campaign.
Create CRM Campaign (if not found): Check this box if you want to allow the CRM Integration to be able to automatically create campaigns in your CRM.Note: The Sync Campaign feature will only sync campaigns that have Sync Campaign With CRM enabled in that campaign's Start Action.
Update CRM Email Opt-out
Check the box to allow eTrigue CRM Integration to synchronize your CRM's "Email" Opt-Out field.
If enabled, the CRM Integration will set an eTrigue Prospect's Status field to 'Opt-Out' when the corresponding Lead or Contact's Email Opt Out field is true.Assignment Rule
(Salesforce only)When eTrigue CRM Integration creates a new Lead in Salesforce, it will follow the Default Lead Assignment Rule in Salesforce.
If there is a particular Lead Assignment Rule that you would like eTrigue to follow instead, provide the name of the rule in the field provided.Default CRM Owner
Using the drop-down, choose the Default CRM Owner.
The Default CRM Owner setting affects the following functionality:
"Default CRM Owner" and eTrigue Campaigns:
Every eTrigue Prospect has an eTrigue Owner field which represents the eTrigue User that owns that prospect.
Each prospect may also have a CRM Owner field which is populated with the email address of the CRM User that owns the corresponding matching Lead or Contact in your CRM.
eTrigue Campaigns allow emails to be sent on behalf of CRM Users. When CRM Owner is chosen as the sender of an email, eTrigue CRM Integration will use the CRM Owner field to find a matching eTrigue User that has the same CRM Username.
If a prospect's CRM Owner field is invalid/missing, then the eTrigue Campaign will send the email on behalf of the Default CRM Owner that you have specified here. The contact information of the Default CRM Owner will also populate the sender tags (sender phone, sender company, etc).
"Default CRM Owner" and new Prospects created by CRM Integration:
Whenever you create new Leads or Contacts in your CRM that do not yet exist in eTrigue, a corresponding eTrigue Prospect will be created for them during the next ongoing CRM synchronization.
- If the CRM User of that Lead or Contact also exists as an eTrigue DemandCenter User, then the eTrigue Owner and eTrigue CRM Owner fields will be assigned to that matching eTrigue DemandCenter User.
- If the CRM User of that Lead or Contact does NOT exist as an eTrigue DemandCenter User, then the eTrigue Owner field will be assigned to the Default CRM Owner. This means it is possible for an eTrigue Prospect to have an eTrigue Owner that is not the same as your CRM User.
For example, Sally (a lead in Salesforce) is owned by Salesforce User Frank. However, Frank does not exist as a user in eTrigue DemandCenter. Let's then say that the Default CRM Owner is Tom.
When Sally, the lead, is created in eTrigue as a prospect, her eTrigue Owner field will be Tom because Frank is not a user in eTrigue DemandCenter. However, her CRM Owner field will be Frank because the CRM Owner field always references the CRM User in all cases.Update Frequency
Choose how often you would like to synchronize data between eTrigue and your CRM.
In general, a shorter time interval will ensure that your records are up-to-date. However, for organizations that are limited by CRM API calls, a longer time interval should be chosen.
After saving a particular Update Frequency, it is a good idea to keep an eye on your CRM account's API usage to ensure that you are not exceeding the limits for your account.
