What is the "Go To" Action?

  Go To is a Campaign Action that can be dragged into the campaign workspace for use in any campaign flow. When campaign members reach this Action, they can be instantly directed to a different flow within the current campaign.

When using the Go To Action, it is necessary to configure the Action's Properties. In Properties, you will be able to specify the behavior of the Default Option as well as additional Options which will determine how the Go To behaves for different qualified prospects.

With just a Default Option configured, ALL campaign members that reach the Go To Action will be directed to the flow specified by the Move prospects to flow drop-down menu.

To configure the Default Option:

1. Drag the Go To Action into the Campaign Flow of your choice.
2. Double-click to open the Action's Properties.
3. Next to Move prospects to flow, use the drop-down menu to select the flow to which prospects should be directed.
   
   a.  If you would like the prospects to continue in the current flow, choose Continue in Current Flow from the drop-down menu.
   
   b.  If you would like to direct the prospects to a different flow in your current campaign, choose the flow from the drop-down menu. In order for flows to become available for selection, you must first create them in the current Campaign.
   
   NOTE -   You cannot use a 'Go To' Action to send prospects to flows within other campaigns.  For this, you would use an 'Add to Campaign' Action.
   
   
4. When finished, click Apply to retain your configuration settings.

Along with the Default Option, you can also configure additional Options which can dictate how the Action will behave for different groups of prospects. 

NOTE -  When additional Options are used, the Default Option may be disabled by clicking on 'do the following' which will change to 'release the prospect to the next action in the current flow'. 

To configure an additional Option:

1. Drag the Go To Action into the campaign flow of your choice.
2. Double-click to open the Action's Properties.
3. Click Add a Rule.
4. Next to IF, click Add Condition to configure the search criteria that will be used as the rule for assigning specific prospects to this Action Option.
5. Next to THEN, use the Move matching prospects to flow menu to select the flow to which matching prospects should be directed.
6. Repeat steps 3-5 to configure additional Options as needed.
7. When finished, click Apply to retain your configuration settings.

With additional Options in place, prospects that reach Go To in the campaign flow will be evaluated by their prospect details (field data and activity history) against the criteria of the additional Options. Upon evaluation:

If a prospect matches one or more Options within one Action, the rule for the first matching Option will be applied. The prospect will be immediately released from the Action and sent to the selected flow. Any other matching Option rules will NOT be applied.

OR

If a prospect does not match any Option while the Default Option is ENABLED, the prospect will immediately be released from the Action and sent to the flow selected in the Default Option.

OR

If a prospect does not match any Option while the Default Option is DISABLED, the prospect will immediately be released from the Action to continue through the current flow.
