How to Export Prospects from DemandCenter

- Use the List Builder to search for the prospects you would like to export.
If you are not sure about which criteria to find your prospects, click here to see the most common types of exports along with their relevant search criteria.
- Click View Prospects in the Results pane.
- On the Prospect Results page, select one or more prospects that you would like to export:
- Single-click to select a single prospect.
- Hold the CTRL key and click to select multiple prospects.
- Hold the SHIFT key and click to select multiple prospects at a time.
- In the top left corner of the prospect results, tick the checkbox to select ALL prospects.
- After selecting the prospects, click Export List.
- The next steps involve choosing which fields you want in the export, how the fields are named and ordered, and then choosing how the data is separated when you download it.
-
- In the Export Prospects dialog, choose which prospect fields that you would like to include in your export by dragging the fields under Available Fields column and dropping them into the Selected Fields column.
Your export will arrange the columns based on the Selected Fields order.
-
(OPTIONAL) Users have the option to rename their fields that only apply to their export. Next to each field, click Edit (pencil icon) to rename the field.
NOTE: The field name changes only apply to your export. They do not permanently alter your eTrigue account's field names.
-
(OPTIONAL) Users have the option to add Template Fields to their export. Template Fields are fields that are explicitly inserted into your export when it is generated by eTrigue.
Each row in the export will contain the additional field and its specified value. To add a Template Field, click Add Template Field, then provide a name and the specified value.
NOTE: Template Fields only exist within an export. These types of fields are not saved into your eTrigue account. If you would like to add a more permanent field, we recommend utilizing Custom Fields.
- (OPTIONAL) Users have the option to save and quickly re-use the fields that they have chosen for their exports by saving Template Exports. When a Template Export has been saved, users can click Select Template to quickly apply load in their fields for future exports.
To create and manage an Export Template, go to Prospects > Exports > Export Templates.
- In the Export Prospects dialog, choose which prospect fields that you would like to include in your export by dragging the fields under Available Fields column and dropping them into the Selected Fields column.
-
- Under Export File Format, choose how you would like your data to be separated for your exported list. You may choose either a comma-separated value (CSV) or tab-separated value (TSV).
- When finished, click Export.
- Your list export will be processed by DemandCenter behind the scenes. Once the export has finished, the system will send a notification email to your Alert/Notification Email address with a download link that will allow you to retrieve your file.
Note - All exports from DemandCenter are protected. To securely access an export file from download link within your Export Notification email, users will need to log into DemandCenter. Alternatively, users can also monitor the progress of their export by going to the Export Queue.
The Export Queue can be found by going to Prospects > Prospect Lists and then clicking the button located to the right of the New Folder button to choose Export Queue.
The Export Queue shows the progress of all requested Exports in the last 14 days, across all DemandCenter users. Each Export that is submitted for processing is entered into the Export Queue. Users can view the status of their exports and also download their completed export files.
To view the Export Queue, go to Prospects > Prospect Lists, and then click on the button located to the right of New Folder to choose Export Queue.
