Content Types allow you to create and assign standardized scoring conventions to the common types of web pages on your web site. Content Types are used in Activity Scoring as shortcuts for assigning standard scores to multiple pages of the same type.
For example, if the web pages from the product section of your website are always worth 25 points, you would probably want to create a Content Type called “Product Page” and set it to a 25 point score value. Then, under Activity Scoring, setup a Rule to search for all of your product pages and assign the "Product Page" Content Type and its designated score to all of these pages.
Moving forward, any pages that are identified as a "Product Page" will also automatically receive an Activity score of 25.
