To insert DemandCenter Social Links into a DemandCenter Email Template:
- If you have not configured your DemandCenter Social Link profiles, follow the steps configure your DemandCenter Social Link Profiles.
- Create or Edit your Email Template.
- While in the Normal view of the DemandCenter WYSIWYG editor, place your cursor in the WYSIWYG editor where you would like the Social Link to go.
- In the WYSIWYG toolbar, click on the icon of the Social Link Service (Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Twitter) that you would like to insert.
- Click OK, in the dialog that appears, to proceed with inserting a Follow Us Link into the Email Template for the Social Link Service that you selected in Step 4.
The link will be constructed as a "Follow Us" URL that matches the configured Social Media Profile settings for the selected Social Media Service. When the Social Media Link is clicked, the recipient prospect will be re-directed to your organization's site for the appropriate Social Media Service. Because the Social Media Service site cannot contain eTrigue tracking code, the email click will be tracked as a website that is not registered as an eTrigue Trackable Site. - Repeat Steps 2-5, to insert additional DemandCenter Social Links, as desired.
- To retain your changes, click either:
- Save: Overwrite the preexisting Email Template with your changes.
OR - Save As: Create a NEW Email Template that includes your changes.
- Save: Overwrite the preexisting Email Template with your changes.
- After saving your Email Template, you may use the the Send Proof tool to email yourself PROOF versions of the Email Template, in order to test the message in an email client environment.
