Form is a Dynamic Progressive Form Action that can be dragged into the Progressive Form Flow Workspace for use in any Progressive Form Flow. When prospects reach this Action, they will be evaluated according to option rules, and may be presented a form, depending on their field attributes and activity history. The field(s) that the presented form includes will be determined by the same option rules.
A Form Action will not function until you configure the Action's Properties. In Properties, you will be able to specify the Default Option and additional Options, which will determine how the Form Action behaves for different qualified prospects.
Default Option
With just a Default Option configured, all prospects that reach the Form Action in the Progressive Form Flow will be presented with the same basic form. Fields may display differently to different Prospects, depending on the field behaviors set in the Default Option.
To configure the Default Option:
- Drag the Form Action from the Actions bar, into the Flow of your choice.
- Double-click the Form Action to access the Action's Properties.
- Under Default Option, configure the default behavior of the Form:
- Message Text: Provide text that will be displayed in the header of the form prompt. Please refer to the following example (Message Text is outlined in red):
- Add Fields to the Form Action: Click Select Fields to browse and select the DemandCenter Standard and Custom fields that you would like to include in the Form Action form prompt.
Note: Progressive forms do not support the use of 'Date' fields at this time, so any fields saved as such will not appear as an option to add to a progressive form. The use of a 'Text' or 'Single-Select' field is recommended instead.
- Manage Field Behaviors: For each of the DemandCenter Standard and Custom fields that you chose to include in the Form Action form prompt, you set the following behaviors:
- Show Data: If this is selected, the field will display the current data that it is holding in the database for the Prospect viewing the form prompt. If this option is not selected, the field will be displayed without any data.
- Editable: If this is selected, the field will be editable by the Prospect viewing the form prompt. If this option is not selected, the field will be included in the form prompt as read-only field -- the Prospect will not be allowed to enter data into the field.
- Required: If this is selected, Prospects will be required to enter data into the corresponding field, in order to successfully submit the form. If this option is not selected, Prospects will be allowed to successfully submit the form without entering any data into the field.
- Order: Click the arrows to move fields up and down. The order that you set here, is the same order in which the fields will be displayed in the form prompt.
- Remove Fields from Form Action: Check the box(es) to the left of the field(s) that you would like to remove from the Form Action form prompt, then click Delete Fields. The selected fields will be removed and will no longer be displayed to Prospects that view the Form Action form prompt.
- Message Text: Provide text that will be displayed in the header of the form prompt. Please refer to the following example (Message Text is outlined in red):
- When finished, click OK to retain your configuration settings, or proceed to add additional Options.
Note - When additional Options are used, the Default Option may be disabled by unchecking the Enabled checkbox next to Default Option. In effect, Prospects who do not qualify the criteria for an additional Option, will skip through the Form Action without behavior and will move on to the next Action in the Progressive Flow.
Additional Options
Along with the Default Option, you can also configure additional Options, which can dictate how the Action will behave for different groups of prospects.
To configure Additional Options:
- Double-click the Form Action to access the Action's Properties.
- Click Add Option.
- Under Option, next to IF, click Add Condition to choose the criteria for the Action to match on.

- When finished, click OK to retain your configuration settings.
With additional Options in place, prospects that reach the Form Action in the Progressive Form Flow will be evaluated by their prospect details (field data and activity history), against the logic criteria of the additional Options.
Upon evaluation:
If a Prospect exactly matches one Option, the Prospect will be prompted with the form fields specified by the matching Option, according to the field settings defined in the Option. If their record already has data for all of the fields included in the matching Option, then the Prospect will be assigned to the Default Option. If their record already has data for all fields included in the Default Option, then the prospect will not be prompted with a form and will immediately proceed to be evaluated by the next Action in the Progressive Form Flow.
OR
If a Prospect exactly matches multiple Options, the Prospect will be prompted with the form fields specified by the FIRST matching Option, according to the field settings defined in the Option. If their record already has data for all fields included in the first matching Option, then the Prospect will be prompted with the form fields specified by the NEXT matching Option, and so on until a matching Option is found to request information for fields that do not already contain data. If an appropriate Option cannot be found, then the Prospect will be assigned to the Default Option. If their record already has data for all fields included in the Default Option, then the prospect will not be prompted with a form and will immediately proceed to be evaluated by the next Action in the Progressive Form Flow.
OR
If a Prospect does not match any Option while the Default Option is enabled, the prospect will be prompted with the form fields specified by the Default Option, according to the field behavior settings defined in the Option. If their record already has data for all fields included in the Default Option, then the prospect will not be prompted with a form and will immediately proceed to be evaluated by the next Action in the Progressive Form Flow.
OR
If a Prospect does not match any Option while the Default Option is NOT enabled, the prospect will not be prompted with a form and will immediately proceed to be evaluated by the next Action in the Progressive Form Flow.
