When I try to hyperlink text in our emails, the system is adding https://demandcenter.etrigue.com to the beginning of the URL -- why is this happening?

When configuring the links in your emails, if you only provide the resource path without any of the other URL components (as is common when working with "relative" links in CMS systems), DemandCenter's WYSIWYG editor will automatically correct the mistake by appending https://demandcenter.etrigue.com at the front of the URL.
 

Always make sure that the links in your emails include a full URL.  

A full URL consists of:

• The protocol:
  
  EXAMPLE:  http:// OR https://
   
• The host name (if applicable):
  
   EXAMPLE:  www. OR blog. OR support.
  
  
• The domain name:
  
  EXAMPLE:  company.com OR organization.org
   
• The resource path:
  
  EXAMPLE: /resources/articles/articleXYZ.html
