A Boolean Custom Field allows you to create a drop-down list of labels, where one label represents TRUE and the other represents FALSE. Only one value can be selected at a time.
To create a Boolean Custom Field:
- Go to Settings > Prospect Settings > Prospect Fields.
- Click Add New Custom Field.
- In the Add Custom Field dialog box, provide the following information:
- Name: Enter the name for the Custom Field that you're creating.
- Type: Use the drop-down menu to select Boolean.
- Under Default Boolean Value, use the drop-down menu to choose the default value (false or true) for this Boolean Custom Field. This is the value that will be set as the default when new Prospects are created.
- Click the Edit icon to the right of True to configure the label that will represent the Boolean value TRUE. The label value can be anything you want for appearance on forms, within a prospect record, etc., but will be represented in the DemandCenter database as "true".
- Click the Edit icon to the right of False to configure the label that will represent the Boolean value FALSE. The label value can be anything you want for appearance on forms, within a prospect record, etc., but will be represented in the DemandCenter database as "false".
Note - When importing lists, values must be '0' or 'False' to represent FALSE, and '1' or 'True' to represent TRUE.
- When finished, click Save to retain your settings.
