How do I create a new Multi-Select Custom Field?

A Multi-Select Custom Field allows you to create a custom field with a multi-select picklist of check box selections. This field type supports the selection of multiple field values at a time. When importing lists, multiple selected values should be separated by commas ( , ).

To create a Multi-Select Custom Field:

1. Go to Settings > Prospect Settings > Prospect Fields.
   
   
2. Click Add New Custom Field.
   
   
3. In the Add Custom Field dialog box, provide the following information:
   
   
1. Name:  Enter the name for the Custom Field that you're creating.
2. Type:  Use the drop-down menu to set the field type to Multi-Select.
   
   
4. Click Save.
   
   
5. Under Add/Edit Custom Fields, use the drop-down menu to select the Custom Field you just created.
   
   
6. In the Edit Custom Field dialog box, follow the steps below to add as many picklist field selections as you would like:
   
   
   1. Click on the Add Selection button to add a Selection to your Multi-Select Custom Field.
      
      
   2. In the Add Selection dialog box, enter the exact text value for your Selection. Selection values should not contain commas.
      
      
   3. Click Save.
      
      
   4. Repeat steps a - c to configure additional Selections, as needed.
      
      
   5. To change the order of your Selections, use the Arrow icons to the right of the Selection's name to move them.
      
      
   6. To edit a Selection, click the Edit icon to the right of the Selection's name.
      
      
   7. To delete a Selection, click the Delete icon to the right of the Selection's name.
      
      

      Note - Deleting a selection may negatively affect the performance of forms and other assets that utilize this field. Please delete with caution.

      
      
7. When finished, click Save to retain your settings.
