A click means that a person clicked on a link in your email. After the click, that same person can view multiple pages during their visit to your website. The Pages Viewed statistic indicates the total number of pages that were viewed during a visit session caused by clicks from your emails.
Here is an example to illustrate:
- Let's suppose you started a campaign to send out an announcement email.
- Prospect John clicks on an email link that took him to page A.
- After he lands on page A, John visits page B and page C.
- Prospect John closes his browser.
In the above scenario, the Click statistic would count "1", while Pages Viewed would count "3".
Suppose that a few hours later, Prospect John directly visited Page B and Page C again. Since these two pages were viewed organically and did not result from an email click, the Click statistic still remains at 1 and Pages Viewed remains at 3.
