How do I build an eTrigue Dynamic Progressive Form?
Go to Assets > New Asset > Progressive Form.
On the right under Properties, provide a Name for your form and specify the folder where your progressive form will be saved.
Under the Rules tab, provide the following information:
Assign Source: Click Select Source, then choose the Source to that is to be assigned to new prospects entering DemandCenter from the form. Pre-existing prospects that fill out the form will remain assigned to their original Source, but their Last Source will be updated to reflect the form submit.
Assign Prospect Owner: Click Add Prospect Owner, then choose the DemandCenter User(s) that should own new prospects entering your DemandCenter database from the form. If multiple users are selected, owners will rotate in round-robin fashion.
Assign Categories: Click Add Categories to choose any prospect categories that will be assigned to prospects whenever they submit a progressive form field request.
Under the Actions tab, provide the following information:
Associate Form to Campaigns: You may either create a new campaign or associate the form to an existing campaign. The Campaign Association function will cause prospects to be added automatically to the selected campaign when your progressive form is submitted.
If the prospect was already previously a member of the associated campaign, then their original campaign progress will not be affected, and they will continue in the campaign according to the campaign design. Note that the prospect does not jump back to the beginning of your campaign.
Send Alert: Click Add Recipients to choose the DemandCenter User(s) that you wish to alert. Next, click Select Alert Template to open a list of available Real-Time Alert Templates.
Click Save to create your Progressive Form.
With your form saved, you will be able to click the Form Flow tab to configure how your progressive form will behave.
Progressive Form Flows dictate the timing and order of Progressive Form Prompts that will be presented to a visiting prospect. Each time a prospect clicks on a link that has been enabled with the code for this form, their prospect record will be processed, starting with the Start Action and throughout all applicable Form Flows and Actions until the prospect record reaches a Form Action that:
Is requesting information for a field that is BLANK in their individual prospect record.
AND
Has not exceeded the total number of Prompt Retries for the Form.
Double-click the Start Action to begin configuring your Progressive Form Flow. The Progressive Form Start Action configuration window will open -- in this window, you will need to define the first form prompt that will be presented to qualifying prospects as well as the overall default behavior and style of the Dynamic Progressive Form.
Configure the following Start Action Options:
Test Audience: Use the drop-down menu to select the Static list that you would like to use while testing your Progressive Form Actions.
Match Using: Choose how you would like the system to match form submitters with their corresponding Prospect records in the DemandCenter database (when applicable). You may choose from the following options:
E-mail: A new Prospect record will be created in DemandCenter if a matching Prospect with the EXACT same E-mail address is not found.
E-mail address, First Name, and Last Name: A new Prospect record will be created in DemandCenter if a matching Prospect with the EXACT same E-mail, First Name, and Last Name is not found.
Message Text: Provide text that will be displayed in the header of the Start Action form prompt. Please refer to the following example (Message Text is outlined in red):
Prompt Retry: Use the drop-down menu to choose how many a times a Prospect will be prompted by a given Form Action before being allowed to bypass the Form and proceed to the destination (maximum retry: 10).
Add Fields to the Start Action Form: Click Select Fields to browse and select the DemandCenter Standard and Custom fields that you would like to include in the Start Action form prompt.
Note: Progressive forms do not support the use of 'Date' fields at this time, so any fields saved as such will not appear as an option to add to a progressive form. The use of a 'Text' or 'Single-Select' field is recommended instead.
Manage Field Behaviors: For each of the DemandCenter Standard and Custom fields that you chose to include in the Start Action form prompt, you set the following behaviors:
Show Data: If this is selected, the field will display the current data that it is holding in the database for the Prospect viewing the form prompt. If this option is not selected, the field will be displayed without any data.
Editable: If this is selected, the field will be editable by the Prospect viewing the form prompt. If this option is not selected, the field will be included in the form prompt as read-only field -- the Prospect will not be allowed to enter data into the field.
Required: If this is selected, Prospects will be required to enter data into the corresponding field, in order to successfully submit the form. If this option is not selected, Prospects will be allowed to successfully submit the form without entering any data into the field.
Order: Click the arrows to move fields up and down. The order that you set here, is the same order in which the fields will be displayed in the form prompt.
Remove Fields from the Start Action Form: Check the box(es) to the left of the field(s) that you would like to remove from the Start Action form prompt, then click Delete Fields. The selected fields will be removed and will no longer be displayed to Prospects that view the Start Action form prompt.

Add additional Form Actions to your Progressive Form Flow, as needed, by dragging them from the Actions bar.
Form Actions within the Progressive Flow define the various progressive stages of the form, as well as the form fields that will be presented at each stage. The next time a Prospect is evaluated by the form after satisfying all of the requirements of a given Form Action, they will move on to the next available Form Action in the Flow, and their form prompt will include the fields listed in that Form Action, according to the configuration settings and Option logic of the Action. Click Save to retain the changes made to your Progressive Form Flow.
Before activating your Dynamic Progressive Form to a LIVE state, check the box next to Test Mode and use the Validate Form and Test Action tools to thoroughly test the components of your Campaign:
Validate Form - Clicking this button checks all Actions in the Progressive Form Flow to ensure that the minimum configuration requirements have been completed. If all requirements have been met, you will see a green 'OK' below each valid Action. If further configuration is needed for one or multiple Actions, you will see red errors below each of the incomplete Action(s), indicating specific issues.
Test Action - Left-click to highlight any single Action that you would like to test, then click the Test Action button. The behavior of the Action will be applied immediately, ONLY to the members of the Test Audience selected, according to the configuration settings and Option logic of the Action. A confirmation dialogue box will open to display the effects of the Action upon each Test Audience member. Check to ensure that the appropriate Test Audience members received the behavior that you would expect when evaluating their individual Prospect details against the Option logic of the Action.
After your tests confirm that the Form is behaving as you would like, To activate your Progressive Form to a LIVE state, click the ENABLE button. When your Progressive Form is ENABLED, Prospects that visit content protected by this Progressive Form will be processed through the Progressive Form Flow, and will receive the appropriate Form behavior.
