Introduction
eTrigue features a robust integration with Zapier that you can use to connect many apps with eTrigue.
Below are the steps for eTrigue accounts with PARTNER functionality enabled to setup an outgoing integration that between the PARTNER and outgoing application.
eTrigue will send data TO another application via Zapier.

2. In the top navigation bar, click on Settings.
3. Using the left navigation window, click on Integration, then click on the Authentication tab.
4. Click Generate Key. Please keep a note of this page as you will need the Account and Authentication Key later.
Part 2: Create a Zap Trigger in Zapier
Before you begin, make sure that you have received an invite to use the eTrigue-Zapier Integration. When you receive the invitation email, click on the link provided. If you have not received your invitation, contact your eTrigue account manager to receive an invitation.
After you have accepted the invitation:

The next set of steps involve choosing your application that eTrigue is connecting with and setting up the action to be taken when eTrigue sends a lead over to your application.
Refer to the table below to find your connecting application.
==========================================================Application Steps Salesforce - Choose Salesforce as your application.
- Under Event, choose Find Record.
- Under Account, sign/in or connect with the Salesforce user account that eTrigue will use to create leads in Salesforce. When prompted, provide the user credentials and choose Yes to allow the connection.
- Under Action, configure the following:
- Salesforce Object = Lead

- Search Value = eTrigue's Email address field
- Create Salesforce Record if it doesn't exist yet should be checked.
Webhooks
(Choose this application if you plan to connect to your app via an API endpoint)
** requires a Zapier premium account
For the next steps that follow, you may need to consult your operations or API team to choose the best options. The configuration require knowledge of your application's API and back-end parameters.
Choose your event (POST is most common):
Next, configure your parameters. In most cases, you will need to specify your API endpoint URL, Payload type, and Data.
The setup for Data will require you to map fields by specifying which field the Zap will be sending TO your app and FROM which eTrigue field that will contain the data.
Example screenshot below:The left hand side are the names of the outgoing application's API field names.
The right hand side indicates the eTrigue field that will supply the data.
- Choose Salesforce as your application.
- This next step involves mapping the fields between eTrigue and your application.
Zapier will display the fields that it detected from your connected application (e.g. Salesforce).
Below each field, you must choose the corresponding eTrigue field. For example, if Zapier displayed the "Last Name" field, then the appropriate eTrigue field could be "Last Name".
You do not need to map every field that Zapier detected, but it is recommended to map fields that are valuable for your lead flow and campaign ROI. In many cases, companies like to map at the minimum:
First Name | Last Name | Title | Email Address | Address | City | State | Zip | Country
Here is an example screenshot that shows a user choosing the eTrigue fields for Last Name, First Name, Title, and Company (the user chose not to map their Salutation field by leaving it blank).
- Under Test action, click Test to send a test lead to your application. This step can be skipped.
- Publish the Zap when finished.
Part 3: Enable the Outgoing Connection in eTrigue
- Return to your eTrigue account.
- Under Partner Settings > Integration, click on the Outgoing tab.
- You will be prompted by a warning that it is recommended to setup the Zaps in Zapier. Since you have finished Part 2, you can safely click OK.
- Switch the toggle to On.
- Using the toggle, you are going to choose what type of leads that will be sent over to your application. You have two choices:
Switch the toggle to All Leads if you would like eTrigue to send over any lead that is identified.
Switch the toggle to Leads for Specific MQL Types if you would like eTrigue to send only specific MQLs.
- When finished, click Save.
