Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a limit to the number of Insights that I can request?
Yes, each eTrigue account is allotted a certain amount of Insights based on their account's contract and subscription. To learn more about your account's limits or if you would like to increase your limits, please contact your Account Sales Representative.
Can I manage my Insights limits on a daily basis or by a per-partner basis?
Yes, users with sufficient Administrator privileges can mange the account's Insights limits. The settings can be managed by going to Partners > Insight Settings.
(Note: If you are unable to locate this settings area, then you may not have sufficient permissions. Please contact your Account Sales Representative for further assistance.)
Under Insight Settings, manage your account's settings for Insights:
Global Settings
Default Partner Daily Limit
Defines the maximum number of Insights requests allowed in a day for a single partner. This limit only applies to partners that are following the Partner Daily Limit control type.
Once a partner reaches their daily limit, no further Insights are processed for that partner.
Account Daily Limit
Defines the maximum number of Insights requests allowed in a day for the entire account.
Once the daily limit is reached, Insights requests are stopped for that day.
(Note: The total sum of Insights requests across all partners cannot exceed the Account Daily Limit. This means that for a partner with remaining Insights requests in a given day, they may be prevented from making Insights requests if the Account Daily Limit has been reached.)
Individual Partner Settings
Use the partner listing to manage their Insights control type.
The control type dictates whether a partner is allowed Insights on a daily basis or a date range.
Partner Daily Limit
If this control type is chosen, that partner has a daily limit of Insights requests.
- By default, the limit is equal to the Default Partner Daily Limit, but users may set a lower limit by entering a limit Maximum Limit for that partner.
- The Maximum Limit will override the Default Partner Daily Limit. For example, if the Default Partner Daily Limit is 100, but the partner's Maximum Limit is 50, then that partner may only make 50 requests in a day.
- If you would like to disable Insights requests altogether for that partner, then enter: 0
Date Range Limit
If this control type is chosen, that partner has a single limit across a specified date range.
- Insights requests are only allowed within a specified date range.
- Insights requests made outside the date range are ignored regardless of whether the partner has available Insights requests left or not.
- Under Maximum Limit set the total limit of Insights requests, then select a date range to which Insights requests are allowed. Use the calendar to choose a start and end date (inclusive).
If Insights are configured to use daily limits, when is the daily limit reset?
The Account Daily Limit is reset every day at 12:00 AM UTC +0.
