Introduction
When building Lead Alert Rules, you specify a Real-Time Alert Template to define the look and feel of your lead alerts.
We are now able to provide you a way to create sleek looking alerts (on top of being mobile-friendly) without ever needing to write a single line of code. We would like to introduce you to the Drag and Drop Builder for building customizable lead alerts. This is the same Drag and Drop builder that you know and love when you create Email Messages and Landing Pages!
Benefits Of the Drag and Drop Builder
- Users can create custom alert messages using the same drag-and-drop editor they use for emails and landing pages. This means you get to leverage all features that were already available in our Drag and Drop Builder (e.g. Drag and Drop interface, built-in image editor, etc.), and also include links to videos, call scripts, battle cards, and customized prospect details.
- Alerts built using our Drag and Drop Builder are 100% mobile-friendly and responsive by nature.
- Easily drop in Data Blocks or Insert Prospect Merge tags to personalize your alerts even more.
- You also have access to a library of over-a-dozen pre-designed Alert Message templates.
Note: There is a name change coming, but with an extra bonus...
The name "Real-Time Alert Templates" will now be referred to as Alert Messages. This is more inline with the rest of our app terminology. For example, when you are building emails through our Drag and Drop Building, you are creating Email Messages.
There is a bonus with this name change. Previously, Real-Time Alert Templates could only be used with Lead Alerts. Alert Messages, on the other hand, can be utilized with Form Notifications, Campaign Alerts, and Snapshot Alerts! This gives you even more flexibility in designing custom alerts for these other types of communication.

Frequently Asked Questions
How will I create Alert Messages when the feature releases?
Please refer to the following resources:
- Use the Drag & Drop Email Builder to create beautiful, mobile-responsive Alert Messages.
- If you are a master at hand-coding HTML, use the HTML Editor.
How does the update affect my current "alerts"?
Your current Lead Alerts will NOT be impacted in any way. The Lead Alerts will remain the same with the same conditions and criteria that you defined. will However, your legacy Real-Time Alert Templates will be converted to Alert Messages (in HTML form).
Your alert rules will still use the same templates you had before, but the difference is when you open your converted Alert Messages. They will be saved as "HTML" Alert Messages/ You can still use them after the update, but to make changes you will need to adjust by HTML moving forward.
In addition, due to the new structure of Alert Messages, you may notice cosmetic changes, but the data should virtually remain the same. For example, the most noticeable will be Campaign Alerts which will no longer feature "blue bars".
New Opportunity
We welcome and encourage users to take this opportunity to create new Alert Messages using the new builder. The huge and main advantage is that Alert Messages allow for more customization, and by nature, are mobile-friendly and responsive. In addition, the Drag and Drop Builder interface should enable you to quickly build sleek looking alerts, so you should be up to speed in no time!
Use Our Library of Pre-Designed Alert Messages
To get a head start, we also have a library of pre-defined Alert Messages to get you on the floor running. The library is accessible when you create a new Alert Message using the Drag and Drop Builder.
Are there any actions that I need to do before or after the update?
For the most part, just sit back and relax. :)
If you'd like, you may want to let your team know about the name change (i.e. "Real-Time Alert Templates changes to Alert Messages"). Here is the resource on how to create Alert Messages: click here.
Also, if your (sales) team has setup email rules to filter and direct alerts into specific folders within their inboxes, they may want to remind themselves of these alert attributes. This is just in case they need to update their email rules to match on them.
All alerts will come from:
noreply@etrigue.com
The subject line of the alerts will be in this format:
eTrigue <alert type> Alert - <subject line>
<alert type> will be one of the following: Real-Time, Campaign, Form, Snapshot, or Test.
<subject line> will be the text that is specified in the application.
Is there a cost to the upgrade?
No costs!
